In the following video, a preliminary result of the project is shown. The video demonstrates the coordination of two robots manipulating and handling a real aeronautical part. Besides it shows synchronized coordination of a welding simulated process. This solution was presented in the SUMMIT2021 event.
On 28th of October, TECNALIA will present virtually the preliminary results of the SOFOCLES project (funded by EITM) in the III Conference on Computer, Electronic and Industrial Science (CSEI 2021), in Bogotá (Colombia).
Pablo Bengoa will introduce the results in ID23 oral presentation, entitled “Coordination of Two Robot for Manipulating Heavy and Large Payloads Collaboratively: SOFOCLES Project Use Case”. The presentation will be focused on a real aeronautical application case, showing the research carried out for coordinating two robots with the aim to manipulate heavy and large payloads up to 250 kilograms.
Soon, the paper, which supports the oral presentation, will be published in Springer “Lecture Notes in Network and Systems”.
The following video presents the results of the development of Digital Twin and Smart control of the SOFOCLES Aeronautics workcell enabling the offline design and programming for the human-robot collaborative system and the real-time execution monitoring and control.
Stay tuned for more projects results.
